Pisac is a town in Cusco famous for housing the Inca archaeological site of the same name. Its located in the region of Cusco to 30 kilometers from the city of Cusco, in Peru.
Písa is divided into two zones, the archaeological part, located in the upper part of a mountain and the village, located in the valley, which dates back to the colonial era. Its main square is an entertaining place full of color and with various handmade items for sale. This town is known for its astronomical observatory.
During the Inca era Pisac was an important Inca citadel with an impressive system of platforms and terraces. The colonial era left beautiful balconies that adorn the old houses.
Pisac is a really charming little town.
