By confirming a reservation with Montana Peru, you agree to the following terms and conditions, designed to ensure a transparent, secure, and well organized travel experience.

Payments

A 40% deposit is required to confirm the reservation and secure all travel arrangements, including train tickets and entrance permits, which must often be booked months in advance in accordance with Peruvian government regulations.

The remaining balance must be paid in full at least 35 days prior to the start of the tour.

Payments can be made via secure payment link (credit or debit card), bank transfer, PayPal, or Western Union. The remaining balance may also be paid in cash upon arrival in Peru.

Modifications

Modification requests will be evaluated based on the timing and the type of services involved. Our team will assist you and provide an updated quotation according to the services that allow changes.

Please note:

Machu Picchu entrance tickets and Inca Trail permits are non modifiable once issued and must be purchased again in case of any change, in accordance with official government regulations.

Hotel reservations may be modified up to 32 days prior to the travel date, subject to the provider’s policies. After this period, any change will be considered a cancellation.

Cancellations

Cancellations made more than 32 days prior to the start of the tour:

No additional charges apply. The initial deposit will be retained, as it is used to secure permits, entrance tickets, and train services, which are non refundable.

Cancellations made 32 days or less prior to departure:

The total cost of the program is non refundable.

Refund Policy

Refunds may be issued only for cancellations made more than 32 days prior to the start of the tour.

In such cases:

The initial deposit is non refundable, as previously stated.

Any remaining balance paid may be refunded, minus administrative costs and transaction fees.

Refunds will be processed using the same payment method originally used by the traveler.

Non Transferable Services

All services are strictly non transferable to another person.

Entrance tickets to Machu Picchu and permits for the Inca Trail are issued under the traveler’s name and passport details and cannot be transferred or reassigned, in accordance with Peruvian government regulations.

Payment Compliance

All reservations must be fully paid within the agreed deadlines.

If the remaining balance is not received by the specified payment date, the reservation will be considered canceled, and the cancellation policy will apply.

Travel Documents

It is the traveler’s responsibility to ensure that all personal documents, including passports, visas, and health requirements, are valid and meet the entry regulations of Peru.

Montana Peru is not responsible for denied boarding, entry restrictions, or additional costs resulting from incomplete or invalid documentation.

Punctuality

Travelers are expected to be ready at the agreed pick up times. Delays may result in adjustments to the itinerary, and certain services may be lost without refund if not used on time.

Health and Physical Condition

Travelers are responsible for ensuring they are in suitable physical condition to participate in the activities included in their itinerary, especially those involving altitude or physical effort.

For certain activities, including trekking experiences such as the Inca Trail, travelers will be required to sign a Liability Waiver Form confirming that they are in adequate physical condition and assume full responsibility for their participation.

Montana Peru is not responsible for health related issues arising during the trip.

Responsibility

Montana Peru acts as an intermediary between travelers and service providers. While we carefully select our partners, we are not responsible for circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to weather conditions, natural events, strikes, delays, or changes in schedules by third party providers.

In such cases, our team will make every reasonable effort to assist and provide suitable alternatives when possible.
