Terms and Conditions 2023
MONTANA PERU TRIPS , as the case may be, jointly referred to as “the Company”.
All references in these Booking Conditions to, “we”, “our” and/or “us” should be taken as referring to the Company.
It is the passenger’s responsibility to read these terms and conditions before making their reservation.
BOOKING CONFIRMATION
The reservation is considered confirmed once the first deposit has been made and having received our confirmation letter, together with the letter of acceptance of participation, which must be signed and returned within 48 hours of being received.
No other document than those already mentioned, is considered as reservation confirmation.
DEPOSIT
A deposit of 40% per person is required to secure your booking.
Deposits should only be in dollars.
The amount provided by the agency is subject to change, if the deposit is not made within the time established by the sales agent.
Once the money is received, we proceed to buy the train tickets and the income to the Inca Trail and to Machupicchu, services that must be purchased months in advance.
TRIP BALANCE
The outstanding balance shown on your invoice (including any additional items) must be paid in full no later than 45 days prior to the departure date of your booked trip.
For bookings made within 60 days prior to the departure date of your booked trip, the full balance (including any additional items) is required.
Failure to pay the outstanding balance by the specified due date will result in your booking being canceled and your deposit being forfeited in full. Please let us know, if you anticipate any delay with your payment.
Payments made by check will be deemed to be paid on the date upon which funds are cleared by the Company’s bank.
PAYMENT
Payment of the deposit (USD only) can be made via any of the following options:
- Visa (remaining balance can also be paid by this method, for card payments, 2% commission is charged).
- Bank transfer.
- Paypal, We travel.
- Western Union (remaining balance can also be paid by this method).
- Cash (remaining balance can also be paid by this method)
The client will assume all transaction fees, If your paid is by a Bank transfer, each deposit must be made with an extra 24 dollars, which corresponds to the Peruvian banking commission.
We endeavor to ensure that all information and prices are accurate, however changes and errors do occasionally occur and we reserve the right to correct prices and other details in such circumstances. You must verify the current price and all other details related to the Travel Arrangements you wish to reserve before making your reservation.

PAY IN FULL, LOCK IN YOUR RATE
We often publish our prices more than a year in advance. Between that time and the time of your trip’s departure, we may be faced with cost increases (e.g. foreign currency fluctuations, fuel surcharges, increases in cost of services). In the event of a significant change in costs, we reserve the right to apply a surcharge. If you pay in full at the time of booking, you are exempt from any such surcharges.
CANCELATION AND REFUNDS
The following conditions apply, depending on whether a cancelation is made “by you” or “by force majeure”:
BY YOU
Cancelation 60 days before trip departure: trip payment will be refunded, less your first desposit of 40% deposit made for booking (used for incomes and trains tickets – non refundable, administrative expenses and Bank charges).
Cancelation 30 days before trip departure: 50% of your trip payment will be refunded.
Cancellation 29-0 days before trip departure: No refund applies.
A cancellation by you will take effect from the date we receive notice by mail. The return of money will be via bank transfer, the expenses will be assumed by you.
If you cancel your booking no less than 60 days prior to your booked trip departure, you can alternatively:
A.Your final balance could be held by us as a credit which you can use towards the balance of any future trip.
- Any other scheduled departure date or trip; Always and when there is availability and using the final balance.
- Another person nominated by you can use the final balance as a credit for any future travel.
No refunds will be provided in the event of voluntary or involuntary early departure from a trip. No refunds will be given for missed or unused services including, but not limited to, accommodation, activities and meals. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance.
BY FORCE MAJEURE
In circumstances where a cancelation is necessary due to any conditions or event beyond our control including, but not limited to, strikes, natural events, pandemics, border restrictions, terrorism, or political instability, we will endeavor to transfer your booking to an alternative departure or trip, or we will offer a trip credit to use towards the balance of any new booking. All credits and refunds resulting from the cancellation will be less any non-refundable expenses incurred by us.
If your booking is changed or transferred for any reason, the booking Terms and Conditions in effect on the date your new booking is made will apply.
We are not responsible for any additional expenses you may incur as a result of your booking being canceled or changed including, but not limited to, visas, vaccinations, medical expenses, clothing, equipment, testing, quarantine, travel insurance excess or flights.
CHANGE OF TRIP OR DEPARTURE DATE
You are welcome to change your trip (including any options) and/or departure date, subject to availability and adding the extra expenses
A change of trip and/or departure will take effect from the date we receive notice by mail. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance which covers cancellation and change penalties.
All credits and refunds resulting from a change of trip and/or departure for any reason will be less any non-refundable expenses incurred by us. If your booking is changed or transferred for any reason, the booking Terms and Conditions in effect on the date your new booking is made will apply. We are not responsible for any additional expenses you may incur as a result of any changes to your booking including, but not limited to, visas, vaccinations, medical expenses, clothing, equipment, testing, quarantine, credit card fees, travel insurance or flights.
OFFERS AND DISCOUNTS
ONE (1) offer or discount can be applied only at time of booking and cannot be retrospectively applied.
Discounts and offers cannot be combined unless otherwise stated or agreed to.
Children and students have discounts that are applied only at time of booking.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended to participate in our trips and in some cases mandatory. Your insurance plan should include full medical cover, emergency evacuation and emergency repatriation. You should also ensure you are covered for trip cancellation and have protection for any other issues including, but not limited to, flight cancellations or delays, loss of luggage and personal effects, and theft.
You are required to add your travel insurance information to your Travel Wallet by no later than 90 days prior to departure. If this information is not provided, we release ourselves from all responsibility.
COVID-19
Effective September 1, 2022 vaccination against COVID-19 is no longer required to participate in our trips.
The Peruvian state no longer requests vaccinations or covid tests, however it is important that you seek information on the covid regulations of the countries where you stop over.
