Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Cusco / Urubamba – Acclimatization
  • Travelers arrive independently in Cusco.
  • Our staff will meet you at the airport holding a name sign and transfer you privately to your selected hotel in Cusco or Urubamba.
  • The rest of the day is free for rest and acclimatization.
  • Travelers sensitive to altitude are advised to stay in Urubamba for better adaptation.
  • Our customer service team is available at all times for assistance.
Day 2: Chinchero, Maras & Moray
  • We pick you up at your hotel. The pickup time is coordinated in advance and is usually around 9:00 am.
  • Visit a local family home in Chinchero, where you will learn ancestral dyeing techniques using natural insects and traditional weaving with bone tools.
  • Continue to the Maras salt mines, a stunning complex of thousands of salt pools still used by local families since Inca times.
  • Explore the circular terraces of Moray, an ancient agricultural research center.
  • Return to the Sacred Valley.
  • Overnight: Urubamba
Day 3: Ollantaytambo & Free Afternoon in Urubamba
  • We pick you up at your hotel. The pickup time is coordinated in advance and is usually around 9:00 am.
  • Visit Ollantaytambo, one of the best-preserved Inca fortresses and a living Andean town.
  • After the visit, return to Urubamba in the Sacred Valley to enjoy a relaxed afternoon surrounded by mountains, rivers, and open landscapes.
  • Overnight: Urubamba
Day 4: Short Inca Trail (Km 104) to Machu Picchu
  • Early pickup from your hotel and private transfer to the train station.
  • Board the morning train (approx. 7:00 am) for a one-hour journey to Kilometer 104, where the Short Inca Trail begins.
  • Enjoy a guided hike of approximately 8 hours along original Inca Trail sections, part of an ancient road network used over 500 years ago that once extended more than 30,000 km across the Andes.
    Box lunch included.
  • Arrive at Machu Picchu in the afternoon and descend by shuttle bus to Aguas Calientes.
  • Overnight: Aguas Calientes
Day 5: Machu Picchu Guided Tour & Panoramic Train
  • We pick you up at your hotel. Entrance time is coordinated at the time of booking, usually around 9:00 am.
  • Shuttle bus operated by the government (approx. 30 minutes) to access Machu Picchu.
  • Guided visit of Machu Picchu, exploring its main temples, terraces, and viewpoints.
  • Return to Aguas Calientes to board the panoramic train to Ollantaytambo, featuring traditional dance performances and an Andean fashion show.
  • Upon arrival in Ollantaytambo, private transfer to your hotel in Cusco.
  • Overnight: Cusco
Day 6: Cusco City Tour
  • Departure time is coordinated with each traveler, with an average start around 9:00 am.
  • Visit with your private bilingual guide: Qoricancha, the main Inca temple dedicated to the Sun and later transformed into a colonial church; Sacsayhuamán, a major ceremonial, religious, and military center built with massive stone blocks weighing up to 120 tons; and the nearby archaeological sites of Qenqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay.
  • The tour lasts approximately four hours, leaving the afternoon free.
  • Overnight: Cusco
Day 7: Departure from Cusco
  • Private transfer from your hotel to Cusco Airport is included.
  • Pick-up time is coordinated according to your flight schedule.

Cancelation

To secure your reservation, Inca Trail permits, Machu Picchu entrance tickets, and train tickets are purchased in advance. These services involve non-refundable costs.

  • Cancellations made up to 30 days before departure are subject to a 40% cancellation fee.
  • Cancellations made between 7 and 29 days before departure are subject to a 60% cancellation fee.
  • Cancellations made less than 7 days before departure, no-shows, or early departures are non-refundable.
